The design and creation of decorations, floral arrangements, banners and artistic pieces to enhance and focus community worship.
Baptismal Font
Clean the Baptismal font once a week sometime before the weekend masses begin.. This can be done by one or two persons. You are provided with written and hands on instruction. This ministry is “behind-the-scenes” but still very important.
Cross Bearer
This ministry is open to parishioners with the necessary strength and coordination to process with the cross at the liturgical celebrations. Minimum age 12. Commitment: Rotating basis about once every two months.
Eucharistic Minister
Open to confirmed practicing Catholics with a desire to express and deepen their faith by serving as a minister of Communion. You are given written guidelines and trained individually or in a group. Rotation is every 4 weeks.
Head Minister
Open to confirmed individuals who wish to participate in the liturgy. The Head Minister assists the presider throughout the liturgy. Training and updating are provided periodically. Available Head Ministers are called upon for funerals and weddings as needed.
Hospitality Minister
Greet the community arriving for Mass, assist people in finding seats, maintain orderly movement during Liturgy, select gift servers, pass the gift baskets among the congregation, direct parishioners in receiving Communion, handout s after Liturgy. This is a great ministry for families and non-Catholics.
Lector
The liturgy of the word is the Church’s proclamation of God’s life in us. It is a sacred duty that involves a sharing of one's own faith and the realization that we are continuing Jesus’ mission of sharing the Word with God’s people. Requirements include a clear speaking voice and a commitment to scripture.
Commitment: After one or two training sessions scheduled rotating basis approximately once every two (2) months.
Mass Coordinator
This ministry includes preparing the liturgical books, vessels, linens, bread and wine, overseeing minister sign-in, as well as cleaning the vessels and locking up after Mass. Training is provided. Available Mass Coordinators may be called upon for funerals. Rotation is every 4-6 weeks.
Music Ministry (Choir and Instrumentalists)
Anyone who likes to sing or plays an instrument is invited to be part of the music ministry. Weekly rehearsals are held and participation is encouraged at any of the weekend liturgies and all other liturgical celebrations. Commitment: 2-3 hours per week.
Registration or Welcome and Information
Volunteers assist new parishioners in completing the required forms and answer questions about the parish. Commitment: About 1 hour 2-3 times per year.
Room 2 has a designated Liturgical ministry area. Here you will find a copy of the current schedules on paper. This is also where you will sign in for mass each time you serve. Whenever a Holy Day mass is coming up or any other special mass, the sign up sheets will be found here. This area has a board where we can post notices of interest.
